Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is a regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in East Arnhem Land, providing comprehensive primary health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents of North East Arnhem and public health services for close to 10,000 people across the region.

The primary objective of this role is to provide a comprehensive, woman-centered midwifery service including antenatal, postnatal and neonatal care.
Key Responsibilities include
- Deliver health care of excellence primarily to women of the community and their family as a part of the Miwatj Women’s Program.
- Provide sexual health and lifestyle education.
- Provide women’s health checks including pap smears and STI screening.
- Assist women with family planning, conception and contraception through education and clinical management.
- Work in partnership with other health professionals to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to health care is maintained.
To be considered for this role, you need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in rural, remote or isolated practice. You also must be currently Registered Nurse and Midwife with AHPRA.
