We are looking for a conscientious and dedicated person to join our Bukmak Rrambaŋi Djamarrkuḻi’wu Team. You will be cooperating closely with Clinical staff, FAFT, Baby Hub and Shepherdson College. You will be working on increasing much needed antenatal care and coordination services in the island and their continuation into early childhood care and educational services.
To be successful in this role you will be able to:
- Support Shepherdson College (Lead Agency) in the coordination of antenatal, early childhood to school ready services in Galiwin’ku.
- Increase the antenatal to early postnatal care capacity ensuring a healthy start to life, crucial for early childhood development.
- Improve the coordination of existing clinical and non-clinical services and referral pathway for early childhood, including the Baby Hub referral and graduation process, the communication and integration of clinical care within FaFT groups and the transition to School Health under our school health program.
Essential minimum requirements:
- Knowledge of the local Galiwin’ku community.
- Certificate III or IV in Community Work.
- Experience in public health and/or Primary Health care.
- Four wheel drive and large vehicle driving experience.
