Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is a regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in East Arnhem Land, providing comprehensive primary health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents of North East Arnhem and public health services for close to 10,000 people across the region.

We are looking for a conscientious and dedicated person to join our team. To be considered for this role you will need to be committed to working sensitively in a cross cultural environment in remote communities.
To be successful in this role you will be able to:
- Coordinate Miwatj NDIS Community Connectors to provide support activities for NDIS Clients.
- Engage with clients in order to explain the NDIS planning and assessment process and the role of the community connector and National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
- Identify and establish positive and productive relationships with both Clients and community agencies and organisations.
- Assist participants connecting their needs with NDIS services and meeting personal development goals such as further education and training
- Participate in community meetings and promote the Miwatj NDIS Program and services through presentations and other forms of communication.
- Be involved in team discussions and creating appropriate resources in local language to present to communities.
- You should be committed to participate in formal training relevant to Disability and the Miwatj NDIS Community Connector training.
- You must have a current NT Class C Driver's License and a current Ochre Card (or the ability to obtain one).
