Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is the regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in East Arnhem Land, providing comprehensive primary health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents of North East Arnhem and public health services for close to 10,000 people across the region.

The Adult Acute Care Program works closely with the Aboriginal Health Practitioners to provide high quality comprehensive primary health, acute and emergency care to our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating Adult Health Checks, maintaining a database for specialist areas to track assessments, treatments and follow-on referrals, and generating weekly recall lists for follow up. You will also work with a multidisciplinary team to provide a 24 hour service and participate in the after-hours emergency on call roster. Further, you are excited about supporting, mentoring and developing our Aboriginal Health Practitioners, who in turn will also support, mentor and contribute to your development as well.
You will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in remote Aboriginal communities and a strong interest in the health issues impacting on Aboriginal people in northern Australia.
